As seen, my name is Kozavid Duncan. I am a passionate student always anticipating and wanting more education every possible way. I love learning new things and try to be the best that I can be at everything. I live with my family of three. I live with my grandmother and mother. As seen in my household, I live the best of two worlds. I not only live life in an American way, but yet rock it even more with a Japanese culture. I have been raised in this culture before I was even born. My name reflects this by how both my grandfathers names are the origin of mine: Kozo and David. I believe that one of my biggest accomplishments this year and in my life was receiving my Black Belt in my Martial Arts Class. Taking seven years to get to this level was a ton of time and much effort. I feel that this was one of my biggest accomplishments because most people can never make it to this level. I also feel that this is a life accomplishment that will be one to treasure and remember forever. I am also truly proud of myself for being a tutor. As one of my extracurricular, I decided to tutor my peers to help them reach their goals of passing their classes. I have felt that this has helped me more than my peers because I feel that nothing in life is ever perfected without the two things of time and teaching. Through teaching others, I have honed down concepts, ideas, tests, and more that not only help my tutee to do better in their classes, but also myself to make sure that I fully develop it. I feel that through this Freshmen year of High School, I have been able to overcome fears and challenges, I have been able to complete lifelong goals and accomplishments, and I have been able to grow my morals as a person and become a better student to my peers and community.
